Berlin - SMP has advised a fund managed by the Hamburg-based financial investor BPE on the acquisition of the Civil Engineering Business of the Switzerland-based Dätwyler Schweiz AG together with the management team via a management buy-out. The target of the transaction is the Dätwyler Sealing Technologies Deutschland GmbH (to be renamed „SEALABLE Solutions GmbH") as well as the associated real estate in Waltershausen. The company focusses on the Civil Engineering business with elastomer profiles for applications in tunnels, civil engineering and rail track superstructure projects. Previously, the 180 employees have generated an annual revenue of around CHF 40 million. The parties involved have agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction. As in previous transactions, BPE has been advised on this management buy-out by a team led by SMP-partner Jörn Wöbke.
