Berlin – Schnittker Möllmann Partners (SMP) advised the Hamburg-based investment manager DTCP on the launch of its new fund generation for venture capital and growth capital with an aggregate volume of approximately USD 350 million. Previously, DTCP has primarily managed funds financed by Deutsche Telekom AG (DTAG). In addition to DTAG, the investor base now includes additional renowned international financial investors, such as HarbourVest Partners and private equity funds managed by Neuberger Berman. Also, in the course of the final closing, two additional high-profile corporate investors – Korea's largest mobile operator SK Telecom and the German technology company Zeiss – joined the new fund generation's investor base. With the new fund generation, DTCP plans to invest between USD 5 million and USD 50 million in enterprise SaaS companies specialized in cloud and network infrastructure, 5G/IoT, digital enterprise, cyber security, artificial intelligence and marketing technology. The new fund generation focuses on enterprises with recurring annual revenues of at least USD 5 million, building their business models on a competitive fundamental technology. SMP provided comprehensive legal and tax advice on the structuring of the new fund as well as on all corporate, partnership law, tax and regulatory matters. The SMP team was led by partners Helder Schnittker, Stephan Bank, Jens Kretzschmann and Andreas Kortendick.
