Berlin - SMP advised Caroline Rupert's family office Kathaka on its investment in the customer intelligence platform (CIP) Zeotap. In addition to Kathaka, four new investors participated in the financing round. Neue Capital, Math Capital, TTCER Partners and Coparion invested in Zeotap in the context of this Series C with a total volume of 42 million USD. According to Zeotap, the funds will be used to accelerate their growth via expansion of their product offering and their geographical presence. Kathaka was comprehensively advised by a team led by SMP partner Benjamin Ullrich. It was the first time the family office received legal advice from SMP.
Kathaka is a single family office (SFO) focused on executing both private capital investments (Series A/Series B) in early stage businesses and social impact investments. For Venture investments the focus is Series A and Series B capital injections in North America and Western Europe facing businesses. Social impact focuses on the sub-Saharan Africa region in order to drive key philanthropic initiatives prioritised by the family capitalising the office.
