Oliver studied tax law at the University of Applied Sciences for Finance at Nordkirchen (which forms part of the tax administration of the state of North-Rhine Westphalia) and, parallel to his job, at Aalen University. Prior to joining SMP, he was a federal tax auditor with the Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt).
